PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner not only excellent in fast setting properties but also permitting neutralization thereby dispensing with disposal of treated soil as industrial waste by admixing an inorganic mineral powder with a sodium alginate powder excellent in neutralization-improving performances. SOLUTION: The soil conditioner comprises a sodium alginate powder as an essential ingredient, and admixed therewith, an inorganic mineral powder comprising slag, plaster or coal ash. The neutralization-improving performances of the sodium alginate powder combined with a hydration reaction by the inorganic mineral permits an efficient improvement treatment of sludge in a short time and also neutralization of the treated soil. |
