PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit protective element and a mounting structure wherein an insulating resistance after fusing can be made large. SOLUTION: In this element and structure, the terminal parts 15, 16 are installed at both end parts of a substrate 11, and mounting faces 15a, 16a, 15b, 16b respectively mounted on a circuit board are possessed at terminal parts 15, 16, and non-mounting side faces 15c, 15d, 16c, 16d are possessed by the circuit board, and the narrow width part 13a is arranged in respective regions of the side faces 15c, 15d, 16c, 16d, thereby the narrow width part 13a is made to have the constitution that it becomes non-opposing to the circuit board.
