PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil free type scroll fluid machine formable compact in whole the device by shortening the axial length thereof. SOLUTION: In this scroll fluid machine, a spiral shaped compressing chamber C gradually decreasing capacity from an outer peripheral side toward an inner peripheral side with revolving movement preventing rotation of a rotary scroll 30 is formed between a fixed scroll 40 and the rotary scroll 30. With decrease of the capacity of the compressing chamber C, inflow gas is compressed and transported. The scroll fluid machine comprises a rotary bearing 26 provided at one end of a main shaft 18, a motor side bearing 22 provided at the other end of the main shaft 18, and a main bearing 20 provided between the rotary bearing 26 and the motor side bearing 22. A rotary bearing 27 is disposed so as to position at least a part thereof in the fixed scroll 40 side from an end plate 32 of the rotary scroll 30.
