PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of large thermal stress in a girder while preventing the occurrence of vibration and noise due to running of vehicles by eliminating a clearance in the axial direction in a girder bridge. SOLUTION: Continuous girder composed of a plurality of girders 14 is stretched over between abutments 10. An elastic cable 18 is connected with both end parts of the continuous girder and each bridge base to regulate the shrinkage of the continuous girder. A tensile load or a compression load is added on the continuous girder in its axial direction so that whole length L of the continuous girder becomes equal to target whole length set in advance, and filler is put in a clearance between the bridge base 10 and an end part of the continuous girder while applying the load to constrain the continuous girder from both outer sides in the axial direction.
