PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing glossy paper capable of being used in a method for simply producing glossy paper by using a film. SOLUTION: This apparatus 10 for producing glossy paper includes a film delivery device 12 and a base material delivery device 22. A gloss agent 18 is coated on a base material 24 by a gloss agent-coating roller 16. The base material 24 is conjugated with the film 14 through the gloss agent 18. An over coated layer 28 to which the smooth surface of the film is transcribed is formed by drying the gloss agent 18 by a drier 26 to form a film. The glossy paper in which the over coated layer 28 is formed on the base material is obtained by peeling off the film 14 by a peeling device 30.
