<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce arithmetic quantity of an IDCT(inverse discrete cosine transform) arithmetic operation and an image size conversion arithmetic operation, prevent increase in the arithmetic operation for motion compensation prediction and reduce the entire arithmetic amount in a decoder that obtains decoded video data whose image size is converted from video code data coded by a combination of a motion compensation prediction method and a DCT(discrete cosine transform) method. SOLUTION: After image size conversion processing in a DCT area as to a prediction error, IDCT processing is applied to the image. Then image data by the motion compensation prediction in a space area are decoded. Thus, the arithmetic amount for IDCT processing and image size conversion processing is reduced and the increase in the arithmetic amount for motion compensation prediction in a DCT area can be prevented.</p> |
