PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing and a chain with the roller bearing built therein fully holding a lubricant without mutual contact of rollers, hardly causing skew, resistant to thrust load and moreover with good productivity and assembling property. SOLUTION: This roller bearing is constituted by arranging a plurality of cylindrical rollers 24 between a roller 25 functioning as an outer ring, and a bush 23 functioning as an inner ring, and the roller bearing is built in the roller chain 21. In this constitution, a plurality of cylindrical rollers 24 are formed with recessed parts 24a (fitting holes) at both end parts along the center axis of each cylindrical roller 24, and cages 29 of approximately ring shape are arranged at both end parts of a plurality of cylindrical rollers 24. The cages 29 have protrusions 29a (guide parts) fitted into the recessed parts 24a of a plurality of cylindrical rollers 24 to rotatably guide a plurality of cylindrical rollers 24.
