PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator, in which forced ventilation can be carried out if necessary, and ventilation of the inside of the whole building can be carried out according to a schedule without being influenced by the condition whether the outside pressure is high or low. SOLUTION: The ventilator 1 is provided with a frame 5, a vane means 6, a motor 7, a transmitting means 8 and an air current generator 9. In the frame 5, a path 4 is formed to allow the indoor 2 to communicate with the outdoor 3. The vane means 6 is installed rotatably in the path 4. The motor 7 generates rotation force by rotating the vane means 6 to open/close the path 4 by the vane means 6. The transmitting means 8 transmits the rotation force generated by the motor 7 to the vane means 6. The air current generator 9 is provided rotatably in the path and generates a forced air flow in the X- direction in the path 4.
