PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard tester, with which the inspection efficiency can be improved and the inspection cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: An interface 2002 is connected through a cable to a keyboard 10, supplies power to a key code generating circuit, converts a key code signal inputted from the key code generating circuit to a signal in a form, which can be recognized by a CPU 2016, and outputs that signal. A monitor 2004 is composed of a CRT or liquid crystal display device and displays the image of the keyboard or the like. An inspected result data storage part correspondently stores the respective keys of the keyboard 10 and the presence of key code signal input corresponding to these keys. The CPU 2016 is in charge of the control of respective devices by being operated on the basis of an inspection program stored in a hard disk device 2011.
