PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tatami mat border fitting which makes it possible to lay a tatami mat with an excellent outward appearance without necessitating a specific technique. SOLUTION: The tatami mat border fitting 1 is made of plastic and thin-wall and has an external shape like a strip and it has a first plate portion 3 and a second plate portion 4 positioned adjacently to each other with an integrally molded hinge 2 as a boundary. The first plate portion 3 and the second plate portion 4 are made bendable by the medium of the hinge 2 and suited to be disposed on the boundary between the tatami mat 5 and a sill or a parquet 6. In other words, the inside surface of the first plate portion 3 faces a mat surface material 7, while the outside surface of the second plate portion 4 faces the sill or the parquet 6.
