PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a color-reproduced image that a user likes through easy operation by eliminating the need for color chart photography in complicated color image photography as to the color reproduction of a color image. SOLUTION: A color deviation estimating means 105 displays a plurality of example images, having color deviation about a standard color image 113 which is photographed in a studio, etc., and has a small color deviation, on output equipment by processing the standard color image reversely to correction and estimates a color deviation coefficient 20 from an example image which is selected by the user and considered to have a small color deviation. A color correcting means 106 corrects an input image 200 by using the estimated color slurring coefficient 201 and displays a color-corrected image 202 together with the standard color image 113. A color reproduction decision means 107 makes a hue comparison between the standard color image 113 and color- corrected image 202 and outputs the desired color-reproduced image 203 when a criterion is satisfied. When the image does not satisfy the criterion in this comparison, the processing is put back to the color slurring estimating means 105 and the series of the processes are repeated until the criterion is satisfied.
