PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly increase operability at the time of preparing an electronic mail. SOLUTION: In a portable telephone set having an electronic mail function, when a key indicating '006005002' being an abbreviated number group is operated from a state that a stand-by picture is displayed (refer to a figure (a)), and a 'mail' key is operated, an electronic mail preparation picture where an electronic mail address, stylized sentence, or file stored in a memory corresponding to each inputted abbreviated number are respectively set as the transmission destination address of an electronic mail, the text of the electronic mail, or a file to be attached to the electronic mail is displayed (refer to a figure (c)).
