PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a formed image by reducing influence exerted on an image forming part by heat generated in a fixing part and restraining the adhesion of water vapor generated in the fixing part to a recording medium. SOLUTION: By inclining the wall 11 of a housing in which an image forming part 1 (intermediate transfer belt 51) is housed facing to the wall 81 of the cover of a fixing device 8 and also obtaining structure to open space formed between the walls 11 and 18 upward, high-temperature air including the water vapor generated in the fixing device does not retain inside the fixing device 8 or in the image forming part 1 and exhausted by convection, whereby the heat is hardly conducted to the image forming part 1 and the adhesion of the water vapor to the recording medium is restrained. By providing a duct 82 and a fan 83 sucking the high-temperature air including the water vapor and flowing in the space between the walls 11 and 18, an effect is enhanced further. |
