PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system, a data transfer device, a data recorder and a charge processing method suitable for the charge processing accompanying the transfer/recording of contents data such as music. SOLUTION: The data transfer device is made a system capable of checking out the contents data to a secondary recording medium on the side of the data recorder, requests intrinsic information such as prepaid information stored in the secondary recording medium to the data recorder and receives it. Thus, the intrinsic information on the side of the secondary recording medium is managed on the side of the data transfer device and on the side of a server device to improve services and realize various ways of processing suitable for a user. In particular, the intrinsic information is made to be the prepaid information, and the data transfer device transmits the prepaid information recorded in the secondary recording medium to the server device of a content distribution origin to perform appropriate charging management. |
