PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sliding abrasion between a shaft hole of a connecting rod of an engine and a pivot (piston pin or eccentric shaft of crank). SOLUTION: An intermediate layer composed of (a) silicide or silicon carbide composed mainly of at least one of the group Va metal (V, Nb, Ta), the group IVa metal (Cr, Mo, W), Ti and Zr, (b) a metallic film composed mainly of at least one kind of the group Va metal (V, Nb, Ta), and a Si film or a metallic film composed mainly of Si, formed on the metallic film, or (c) a metallic film of at least one kind of the group Va metal (V, Nb, Ta), the group VIa metal (Cr, Mo, W), Ti and Zr, and a silicon carbide film, and a diamond-shaped carbon film including at least H, Si and O are formed on a surface of the shaft hole of the connecting rod of the engine. |
