PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of erecting a steel pipe pile efficiently executed by a small device without making large noise even in a narrow housing site of a city area and further to provide a method of positively jointing a steel pipe pile and a spindle of the device at a low cost in connecting them. SOLUTION: In burying the steel pipe pile 4 in the ground, the steel pipe pile 4 is rotated around the axis by rotational force generated at a drill head 8 of an excavator 1, and vibration generated by a hydraulic vibrator 10 is applied in the axis direction of the steel pipe pile 4. The steel pipe pile 4 is erected into the ground by pressing force generated by a feeder 12. A coupling 2 is used to connect a spindle 17 of the excavator 1 to the steel pipe pile 4. An external screw 21 formed at the tip of the spindle 17 is screwed with an internal screw 2C formed at the coupling 2, and the coupling 2 and the steel pipe pile 4 are connected by welding.
