PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test piece capable of preventing a substance blocking development of test substance or the like included in a test sample from being deposited on a water-absorbing base material, and detecting safely the test substance, and a detection method of the test substance using the test piece, concerning inspection by an immuno-chromatograph method. SOLUTION: In this immuno-chromatograph test piece formed by arranging a test sample acceptance part on the water-absorbing base material, a dropping pad for dropping the test sample and a filter are laminated and disposed on the water-absorbing base material. This detection method of the test substance is characterized by performing immuno-chromatography by using the immuno- chromatograph test piece.
