PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-ribbed belt capable of reducing vibration and abnormal sound on a loosening side by suppressing elongation and slip of the belt, further extending a belt service life and suppressing slip sound while traveling an automobile in the rain. SOLUTION: This V-ribbed belt is constituted of an elongation part 2, a cushion rubber layer 5 buried with a core wire 4 along a belt longitudinal direction and a compressive rubber layer 6 which is provided adjacently to the cushion rubber layer 5 and has a plurality of ribs extending in the belt longitudinal direction. The core wire 4 is a polyester core wire and has the fiber amount of 17500 dtex to 21500 dtex per 1 rib.
