PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch gear fixing device and a clutch gear assembling method of a transmission with the detachment preventive function of a clutch gear which can be assembled without using any tool. SOLUTION: In the clutch gear fixing device of the transmission comprising the clutch gear (1), a shift gear (2) and a clip (3) for fixing the clutch gear (1) to the shift gear (2), the clutch gear (1) has a shelf part (1F) having the inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the clip (3) in a free state is provided on an opening part of a tapered hole (1T) at an end part of a boss part (1B). The section of a clutch gear engagement groove (3C) provided in the outer circumference of the clip (3) is agreed with the section of a flange part (1N) provided on a small diameter part of the tapered bole (1T) of the clutch gear (1) at the position in which both side surfaces (3b and 3d) of the clip (3) are held by both side surfaces (2Cd) of a clip locking groove (2C) provided in the outer circumference of the boss part (2B) of the shift gear (2) when the clutch gear (1) is inserted to the predetermined position of the shift gear (2).
