PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood which is excellent in external appearance without the interior of its food being seen at stoppage of itself and can discharge the gas generated at cooking to the open by shifting the hood vertically, according to the situation during operation itself. SOLUTION: This range hood is equipped with a main body 1, a hood 2 which goes up and down to this main body 1, a cover body 4 which is attached to the above main body 1 and opens and closes the opening 7 of the hood 2, and a hood lifter 5 which lifts up and lets down hood 2, and a cover shifter 6 which closes the cover body 4 and shifts it to a close position and an open position, and the cover body 4 is put in the close position at stoppage of the range hood thereby closing the opening 7 so that the inside of the hood 2 may not be seen. During the range hood operation, the cover body 4 is put in open position, and then the hood 2 is shifted vertically to discharge the gas generated at cooking to the open. |
