PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a user from troubles to attach and detach an accessory lens cap and to eliminate problems caused when the lens cap is left without removing. SOLUTION: A viewfinder is fitted relatively movably to the main body of an image pickup device. Namely, the viewfinder is so constituted that it can be moved and operated according to whether photograph recording is performed. Then a shutter opening/closing mechanism moves a shutter member from an opening position where a camera lens is exposed to the outside to a closing position where an image pickup lens is covered associatively with the movement of the viewfinder or vice versa. Consequently, the shutter member is disposed securely at the opening position or closing position according to the operation of the viewfinder.
