A duct leading from the outside of the vehicle to the passenger compartment (9) contains a fan (13) for drawing in air. A cooling circuit and a heating circuit are provided for cooling or heating the air inside the duct. A control device (23) regulating the transport of ventilation air is programmed so that when the vehicle electrical system is activated without the engine running, the fan is prevented from working or made to operate at a certain reduced level, in order to prevent an uncomfortably strong flow of air into the passenger compartment. An Independent claim is also included for a method for preventing uncomfortably strong flows of air into the passenger compartment of a vehicle using this system. |
