PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera diaphragm controller capable of stably controlling a diaphragm while preventing a locking state from being disengaged, even in the case that locking is untimely performed and a locking lever does not lie in a prescribed locking position. SOLUTION: As for the camera diaphragm controller for controlling the position of a diaphragm lever by releasing the attraction of a solenoid 5 and locking a ratchet gear 11 by the locking lever 3, the position of a fixed steel piece 5a is detected by a position detecting SW 21 when the fixed steel piece 5a comes close to a movable steel piece 5c in a state where the ratchet gear 11 is locked by the locking lever 3, and a power is supplied to the solenoid 5 again for a fixed time after the fixed steel piece 5a is positioned in the prescribed position so as to prevent the locking from being disengaged.
