PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning angle sensor capable of covering a wide detection angle range without using a special switch means and an operation means. SOLUTION: The turning angle sensor is provided with a body to be detected 21 for detecting turning angle, a detection magnet 22 constituted of facing two poles in 180 deg. which rotates accompanying the rotation of the body to be detected, and a Hall IC 23 generating output according to magnetic flux variation due to turning of the detection magnet. Between the body to be detected 21 and the detection magnet 22, a speed reduction mechanism 25 for transmitting the turning angle of the body to be detected 21 to the detection magnet 22 at a turning angle factor of 1/2 is put in. Surrounding the detection magnet 22, a core 30 with a ring separated in two and having gaps 31 between the facing separation ends is arranged, and the Hall IC 23 is arranged in the gap 31.
