摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger element that reduces a material cost and pressure loss, improves productivity by linking a ridge-like section folding step with a bonding and forming step, and also takes a measure for environmental conservation, in ventilation of a house, etc., in an energy saving way. SOLUTION: The base material 2 of this heat exchanger element has second adhesive applied portions 10 formed by applying an adhesive to the first surface 5 of each square plate 2a with a prescribed width along the second side 6 of the surface 5, and four first adhesive applied portions 8 formed by applying the adhesive to the first surface 5 in stripe-like forms having prescribed widths across the second side 6. In the ridge-like section folding step 15, ridge-like sections 11 are formed by forming ridges one ridge by one ridge by folding up the stripe-like first adhesive applied portions 8 to the second surface 16 side of the plate 2a along the sections 8 by means of a paper folding die, and by thermocompression bonding two ridges formed at each one spot to each other. In an end edge bending step 18, the end edges 14 of the plate 2a are bent upward and a laminate 4 having flow passages 3 is formed by laminating the plates 2a upon another so that their ridge-like sections 11 may cross each other and thermocompression bonding the plates 2a to each other. Consequently, the adhesive applying step, ridge-like section folding step, and bonding step can be performed as a series of automatic steps.
