PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client/server system for executing retry without changing any application software at a client side when the load of a server is heavy. SOLUTION: In a computer 10, a request QA is transmitted from a processing requesting part 13 to a server object 37. This request QA is received by an ORB(Object Request Broker) 12. An ORB 14 transmits the request QA to a computer 30 in which the server object 37 exists. Afterwards, a reply RA to the request QA is transmitted form the computer 30. The ORB 14 judges whether or not the reply RA is a re-transmission request, and when the replay RA is the re-transmission request, the ORB 14 transmits the request QA again to the re-transmission destination designated by the reply RA. When the replay RA is not the re-transmission request but the processed result of the computer 30, the ORB 14 transfers the replay RA to the processing requesting part 13.
