PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gas compression equipment having a small loss, and efficiently generating high-pressure gas. SOLUTION: In this gas compression equipment, a piston 3 fixed on a piston rod 2 linearly moves in a piston cylinder 1 to compress gas. In the piston cylinder 1, plural compression chambers 4 gradually decreasing the volume thereof in a moving direction of the piston rod 2, and dividing moving distance at even intervals by partition walls 5 are linearly provided. The piston rod 2 is provided so as to position the piston 2 in each compression chamber 4. An annular groove 12 of high-pressure gas is formed on a piston rod 2 wall surface where the piston rod 2 when the piston 2 moves and achieves a specified pressure in each compression chamber 4 and the partition walls 5 are abutted on each other.
