PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of insufficient reduction for the capacitance of a conventional rotary transformer. SOLUTION: A fixed drum 1 is rotatably supported by a shaft 25, and a rotating drum 2 is fixed by this shaft 25 to be rotated integrally with the shaft 25. In the fixed drum 1, a stator core 3 is disposed in a surface opposite the rotating drum, and winding grooves 3a, 3b are formed concentrically in the stator core 3. In the rotating drum, a rotor core 4 is disposed opposite to the stator core 3, and winding grooves 4a, 4b are concentrically formed in the rotor core 4. A pair of windings C1, C3 of one of the pairs are stacked to be housed in the winding grooves 3a, 3b, and the other windings C2, C4 are stacked to be housed in the winding grooves 4a, 4b.
