PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital input unit device for suppressing heat generation inside the unit and keeping the number of pull-in signal cables for a single unit device. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an internal motherboard part provided inside the unit for repeating a signal cable pulled in from the outside, an external signal detecting part housed inside the unit and connected with the signal cable repeated by the internal motherboard part for converting an external signal detected from the signal cable to a digital signal, a data arithmetic processing part housed inside the unit for applying arithmetic processing to the digital signal converted by the external signal detecting part and an external motherboard part provided outside the unit and packaged with a shunt resistor, and an external signal current through the signal cable to the unit is divided by the shunt resistor.
