METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter obtaining the color filter ensuring flatness of ink respectively corresponding to a plurality of pixel colors in respective shapes after drying and suppressing color tone variation (making a color difference calculated by ΔE*ab converge to <=3) when used for a display device and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter consists of forming banks 5a composed of resin with specified patterns on a light shielding layer 2a formed on a substrate 1 with the specified patterns, respectively disposing the ink 6 corresponding to the specified colors in gaps between the specified patterns of the banks 5a and subsequently drying the ink corresponding to the respective specified colors. The flatness of the shapes of the ink 6 after drying is ensured by drying the ink 6 corresponding to the respective specified colors at a higher temperature as viscosity gets higher corresponding to magnitude of the viscosity of the ink 6 so as to suppress the color tone variation (making the color difference calculated by ΔE*ab converge to <=3).
