<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool a sliding contact part between a drive plate and a driven plate by circulating a large quantity of oil through oil passages radially extended on a friction material of the drive plate in a wet multiple disk clutch. SOLUTION: This wet multiple disk clutch comprises the drive plates 15 spline-fitted to a rotating member 10, and a plurality of driven plates 25 held to a rotated member 30 and arranged alternately with the drive plates. The drive plate 15 comprises a base 16 with an inner peripheral spline 12, and a friction material 17 stuck onto the base 16. The friction material is formed with oil passages 20 radially extending to communicate with trough parts 19b of the inner peripheral spline. At least one oil sump part 21 is partitioned by a crest part 12 of an outer peripheral spline of the rotating member 12 and a crest part 19b of the inner peripheral spline 19 of the base 16.</p> |
