PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a folding A/D converter, in which precision is improved by reducing variations in the electric characteristics of folding blocks. SOLUTION: The A/D converter is provided with a current distribution circuit 2, which is provided in each block of folding blocks FB1-FB4, and generates a bias voltage Vbias- 2, based on a bias current Ibias- 1 supplied from a current distribution circuit 1, and supplies the generated voltage to differential amplifiers AMPi (i=1 to 5) which are arranged in each block. The folding blocks FB1-FB4 are arranged, so that the geometric center of gravity of a current source transistor M5 of the amplifiers AMPi (i=1 to 5) in each of the folding blocks FB1-FB4, coincides with the geometric center of gravity of a transistor M5b of the circuit 2.
