PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the machining for forming a loose-out stopper groove on a pipe in the condition that the pipe is inserted into a pipe joint, and omit the complicated work for machining the pipe in advance to form the loose-out stopper groove. SOLUTION: A tool turning adapter 5 is connected to a socket 7 of a joint main body 1. A grooving tool 4 with a rolling roller is built in the tool turning adapter 5. A tool pushing adapter 6 is fitted to the periphery of the joint main body 1 in the condition that the adapter 6 can move in the axial direction but can not rotate, and a female screw 21 of the inner periphery of the tool pushing adapter 6 is screwed to a male screw 12 of the periphery of the tool turning adapter 5. After inserting a pipe P into the tool turning adapter 5 and the joint main body 1, the tool turning adapter 5 is rotated. The grooving tool 4 is pushed inward in the radial direction by a tapered surface 22 of the tool pushing adapter 6, and the grooving tool 4 is pushed to the peripheral surface of the pipe P to form a loose-out stopper groove 26, revolving with the tool turning adapter 5.
