PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower that realizes low noise by absorbing acoustic energy generated between blowing blades and a bell mouth. SOLUTION: The blower 1 comprises the blowing blades 4 and the bell mouth 5 for shrouding the periphery of the blades 4. The bell mouth 5 internally forms a cavity portion 5A. A surface of the bell mouth 5 opposite the blades 4 has a single or a plurality of communicating holes 6 in communication with the cavity portion 5A. A resonance in the cavity portion 5A and the communicating holes 6 absorbs acoustic energy of noise generated between the blades 4 and the bell mouth 5.
