PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having an electric motor portion rotor using a permanent magnet, facilitating assembling at a low cost, preventing an energy loss due to a windage loss at high speed operation, and having no influence on magnetic force passing through the rotor. SOLUTION: An electric motor portion 5 driving a compression mechanism 3 comprises a rotor core 14 laminated with rotor punching plate, and a platy permanent magnet 16 disposed in a generally square shape on the rotor core 14 so as to surround a driving rotating shaft 4. A Plurality of balancing punching holes 21s, 21l for reducing rotation unbalance amount generated in the compression mechanism 3 are provided on one side of the rotor core 14, and the balancing punching holes 21s, 21l are provided near an end portion 16a of the permanent magnet 16, and in an inner peripheral side 16i and an outer peripheral side 16o of the permanent magnet 16.
