PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking screw capable of surely locking and easily providing the wriggle-out effect by surely abutting a male part and a female part of a hinge for spectacles at a connecting part of the male part and the female part. SOLUTION: A wide annular recessed groove 6 is formed in the circumferential direction on an unthreaded part 5 of a leg part 3 of a screw 1, and an annular elastic ring 7 having an approximately rectangular or elliptic cross section is fitted in the recessed groove 6. As a diameter D of an annular outer peripheral face of the elastic ring 7 is formed in a state of slightly larger than a diameter d of a circumferential face of the leg part 3, the elastic ring can be constantly and stably abutted on a guide hole of a member when it is screwed in a tapped hole, and the lowering of the locking force is not found. Further as the elastic ring has the approximately rectangular or elliptic shape, the elastic ring and the guide hole are abutted on faces to each other, whereby reliable and stable locking effect can be obtained. In a case when the locking screw is used in the hinge of the spectacles, it can be abutted on two members forming the hinge only by roughly determining its position, and temples of the spectacles can be smoothly opened and closed.
