PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining technique that prevents generation of an harmful recessed portion on a machined surface of a separator. SOLUTION: In grinding the separator 20, a surface grinding machine 40 is set, for example, and made to traverse a table 41 at 350 mm/sec, rotation of a grinding wheel 45 at a peripheral velocity of 20 m/min, and a cut depth of 50 μm. Grinding or cutting method removes a surface of the separator to a given depth. The grinding or cutting method cuts a carbon particle in resin, so that the risk of separation of the carbon particle is eliminated, and that the surface resistance of the separator can be improved. |
