PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact intake structure of an outboard engine. SOLUTION: This outboard engine 1 comprises a vertical four-stroke cycle V-engine 3 having a cylinder head 16, cylinder blocks 17, and a crankcase 18, forming a V-bank between the cylinder blocks 17 by disposing the pair of cylinder blocks 17 in V configuration, and having a crankshaft, 4 disposed therein in generally vertical direction. The periphery of the engine 3 is covered by an engine cover 8. An intake chamber 36 is disposed forward of the crankcase 18, a throttle body 37 is disposed under the intake chamber 36, a silencer 38 is disposed under the throttle body 37, and an intake pipe 39 longitudinally extending from the intake chamber 36 to the cylinder head 16 is disposed on the side parts of both cylinder blocks 17. |
