PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint characteristic extracting device, a fingerprint characteristic extracting method and a fingerprint characteristic extraction program which reduce the effort and time of an operator completely or drastically. SOLUTION: The burden of the operator is reduced by automating the number of ridges correction processing that needs operator processing. A pseudo- characteristic point setting part 111, a ridge direction deciding part 112, a certainty calculating part 113, a binarizing part 12, a characteristic point shape overwriting part 13, a thinning part 14 and an unconditional core line correcting part 15 automate the number of ridges correction processing. According to the above configuration, a fingerprint center and characteristic points corrected by the operator are utilized, and the number of ridges correction processing that is conventionally essential is made to be unnecessary by measuring the number of ridges without fail. |
