<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent smooth fueling from being obstructed even if a filler pipe is partly clogged with fuel during fueling. SOLUTION: This fuel tank T comprises a tank body 11 for storing fuel, the filler pipe 17 for feeding fuel to the tank body 11, a first breather pipe 20 for connecting the upper space of the tank body 11 near a filler port 19, and a second breather pipe 22 for connecting the intermediate part of the filler pipe 17 near the filler port 19. Even if an air layer is enclosed between the fuel fed from a fueling gun 23 and the portion of the filler pipe 17 clogged with the fuel with at least a part of the filler pipe 17 clogged with the fuel when a fuel level in the tank body 11 is positioned at a specified height, the blowback of the air layer can be suppressed by escaping the air layer to the filler port 19 through the second breather pipe 22 to prevent the automatic stop mechanism of the fueling gun 23 from unduly operating.</p> |
