PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable semiconductor laser module that enables a lens holder to be fixed on a base or a fixing member while effect of the fixed state of the lens to the lens holder is reduced, and to provide a manufacturing method for the module. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser module which optically couples a light beam emitted from a semiconductor laser element with an optical fiber using a lens, and the manufacturing method therefor are provided. In the semiconductor laser module 1, welding positions P1 , P2 at which a lens holder 11 is laser-welded to a base or a fixing member 10 are different in the optical axis direction relative to a position where a lens 12 is fixed on the lens holder 11.
