摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical diffusion layer uniformly and brightly producing a display in a screen in a reflective liquid crystal display device of an interior optical diffusion layer type with the optical diffusion layer formed on a substrate of a liquid crystal cell. SOLUTION: An application liquid containing a plurality of resins with refractive indexes different from each other is applied on the substrate 14a, dried and subsequently heated so as to make spinodal decomposition from the resin containing layer take place on the transparent substrate and the optical diffusion layer 16 having at least a co-continuous phase structure is formed. A transparent conductive layer (or a transparent electrode) 17 is formed on the optical diffusion layer 16 of the substrate 14a. The liquid crystal cell 13 of the reflective liquid crystal display device is formed by placing the transparent conductive layer 17 and a reflective electrode 19 formed on the other substrate 14b opposite to each other and sealing a liquid crystal 18 in a pair of the electrodes 17, 19.</p>
