PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine with a fuel reforming device capable of maintaining the operation of the internal combustion engine for a long time while preventing the size of a container for filling reformed gas from being increased. SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine with the fuel reforming device comprised an evaporator 12 for evaporating fuel formed by mixing hydrocarbon fuel with water, a reforming device 13 for generating reformed gas from the evaporated fuel by reforming reaction, and a device 18 for storing the reformed gas. The engine further comprised a device 22 for regulating the internal pressure of the storage device and a means 30 for controlling a pressure regulating device. The regulating means controls the operation of the pressure regulating device when a pressure in the storage device lowers to a specified pressure or below by the consumption of the reformed gas so that the pressure regulating device can maintain the pressure in the storage device at the specified pressure.
