PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a retaining wall having sufficient bearing capacity for supporting the ground on the back side at low cost in a short term. SOLUTION: This retaining wall comprises piles 1, 1, etc., for retaining walls and auxiliary piles 2, 2, etc. The auxiliary pile 2 enters into a hollow part of the pile 1 for the retaining wall from the upper end opening part of the pile 1 for the retaining wall buried in the ground, penetrates it from a through hole 11 to the ground G1, and press fitted therein. After the press fitting, the auxiliary pile 2 is fixed to the pile 1 for the retaining wall.
