PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select and provide a method, with which correction operation facilitated easy for a user corresponding to a number of disabled digits, when data showing the disability of recognition exist in the recognized result in facsimile equipment for recognizing a telephone number described on a transmitted original and performing dial transmission, on the basis of the recognized result. SOLUTION: When recognition disability data equal to or more than a prescribed number exist in the recognized result, all the recognized results are cleared, all digits are entered manually and when such data are equal to or less than the prescribed number, the recognition disabled digits can be corrected selectively (steps S9-S17).
