PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information-giving device by a caller number. SOLUTION: A caller number information storage database part 6, corresponding to the caller number, is provided to a user using one or more telephone sets 3 connected to a telephone line 1 by contracting a caller ID function. By retrieving information in the part 6, consisting of a loudspeaker 10 provided with a voice reproduction control part 7 having voice recorded in advance and a character display part 9, provided with a character display control part, 8 is retrieved and information agreeing with the caller number is given through prescribed information giving means 12 and 13.
