PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processor which can solve the problems of delay of dot generation at a rise part in a low-density or high-density area and trailing after the low-density or high-density area ends, does not generate side effects causing deterioration in picture quality, and can perform thresholding fast without using a complicated processing circuit, etc. SOLUTION: This image processor 30 is equipped with a threshold setting means 32 which sets thresholding according to gradation of multi-gradation image data 200 of a pixel of interest and a thresholding means 36 which converts corrected pixel data into two-gradation image data according to the set threshold and outputs the obtained data. The threshold is so set that a given area has no average thresholding error.
