A double pencil sharpener as shown is provided with a stop 8 and a shaping blade 9 in its respective conical sharpening channels 6. These prevent the pencil from forming a point, which is advantageous when sharpening soft lead pencils such as cosmetic pencils. As shown in Fig. 6, the blade 9 shapes the lead 5 of the pencil into an arcuate form. In a further embodiment, a single sharpener with a sharpening blade 9 of the above construction can be mounted in a casing with a lid so that the shavings are collected for disposal. |
