PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for stabilizing a bicarbonate-based solution for peritoneal dialysis or blood diafiltration. SOLUTION: A two-part bicarbonate-based solution is provided, comprising a 1st part contained in a 1st container and comprising an alkaline bicarbonate concentrate with a pH of about 8.6-10.0 and a 2nd part contained in a 2nd container and comprising an acidic concentrate with a pH of about 1.0-3.0, wherein the pH of the acidic concentrate is effective for giving a mixed solution with a pH of 6.5-7.6 when the 1st part and the 2nd part are mixed together.
