PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid tooth-brushing composition capable of imparting gloss and shine to teeth more than those of an original whiteness. SOLUTION: This liquid tooth-brushing composition is characterized by containing shellac. The form containing at least one of a fluorinated oil and a bactericide, the form containing both of the fluorinated oil and the bactericide, the form containing any of chlorohexidine hydrochloride, isopropylmethylphenol, cetylpyridinium chloride, decalinium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, an alkyldiaminoethylglycine hydrochloride and triclosan as the bactericide, and the form containing 0.01-10% shellac are preferable.
